Privacy Policy

The Artizon Museum of the Ishibashi Foundation (hereinafter “the Museum”) recognizes that the protection and appropriate management of customers’ personal information is an important responsibility, and will endeavor to protect personal information in accordance with the following policy.

1. Compliance with laws and regulations concerning protection of personal information

The Museum complies with laws and other regulations concerning the protection of personal information.

2. Collection of personal information

When collecting personal information, the Museum clearly states the purpose for which it  is being collected, through legal and fair means.

3. Use of personal information

The Museum uses personal information only for the purposes stated at the time it is collected, and only to the extent necessary to carry out its operations.

4. Providing personal information to third parties

The Museum does not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individuals concerned except in special cases, such as when required by law, when necessary to protect important interests such as human life or property, or when the handling of personal information is outsourced under the provisions of Article 5.

5. Contractor supervision

The Museum may outsource the handling of personal information to third parties within the scope necessary to accomplish the purpose for which it was collected. In such cases, the Museum will enter into a confidentiality agreement with the contractor and will provide necessary and appropriate supervision of the contractor for secure management of personal information.

6. Management of personal information

The Museum securely manages personal information to keep it accurate and up-to-date, and implements necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent loss, alteration, leakage or unauthorized access of personal information.

7. Organizational structure

The Museum formulates internal rules on appropriate handling of personal information, familiarizes the staff of the Museum with such rules, and establishes a system for compliance in the protection of personal information.

8. Disclosure, correction, discontinuation of use, deletion, etc. of personal information

The Museum recognizes that the information principals (the individuals whose information has been collected) have the right to disclosure, correction, discontinuation of use, deletion, etc. with regard to their own personal information, and when such requests are received from information principals, the personal information inquiry desk will respond promptly and appropriately.
