Are there any items that cannot be brought into the museum?

To protect the artworks and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all visitors, the following items are not permitted inside the museum:

• Unsealed food and beverages (Plastic bottles and water bottles must be kept inside your bag.)
• Umbrellas (Please use the umbrella stands at the entrance for long umbrellas. Foldable umbrellas must be kept in your bag.)
• Pets ＊Service animals (guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs) are permitted.
• Fresh flowers and other plants
• Hazardous items (such as knives or flammable materials)
• Large musical instruments, recreational equipment, tripods, or other items that may pose a risk to the artworks or disturb other visitors

＊Museum staff may ask visitors not to bring in other items if they may pose a risk to the artworks or inconvenience other visitors.
＊Large items that cannot be brought into the exhibition galleries (such as suitcases) may be stored at the cloakroom. Please note that storage space is limited.
